About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Carbon Credit Project Executive to lead the development of carbon credit projects from concept to successful implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of carbon markets, project methodologies, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement processes.

Key Responsibilities:Project Conceptualization and Planning:

• Identify and assess potential carbon credit project opportunities across sectors such as renewable energy, forestry, waste management, and energy efficiency.

• Conduct feasibility studies, including baseline assessments and stakeholder analysis.

• Develop detailed project design documents (PDDs) in compliance with international standards (e.g., VCS, CDM, Gold Standard).

Regulatory Compliance and Methodology Development:

• Ensure projects adhere to relevant national and international carbon credit standards and methodologies.

• Stay updated on policy changes and emerging market trends in carbon trading and offsetting.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with landowners, developers, governments, NGOs, and other stakeholders to secure partnerships.

• Manage relationships with third-party verifiers, auditors, and accreditation bodies.

Technical Implementation:

• Oversee data collection, monitoring, and reporting for emission reduction activities.

• Manage the validation, verification, and registration processes with carbon credit standards.

Market Development:

• Identify and engage with buyers, brokers, and traders for carbon credits.

• Support the marketing and sale of issued credits to maximize financial returns.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare detailed progress reports, financial analyses, and project updates for internal and external stakeholders.

• Ensure proper documentation to support audits and project reviews.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Sustainability, or related fields.

• Proven experience in carbon credit project development and management.

• In-depth knowledge of carbon credit standards (e.g., VCS, CDM, Gold Standard) and methodologies.

• Familiarity with GIS tools, monitoring systems, and lifecycle assessments.

• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, planning, and timeline management.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in carbon accounting or sustainability (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14064).

• Preferred experience in developing nature-based solutions like reforestation or regenerative agriculture projects.

• Understanding of ESG frameworks and corporate sustainability practices.
