NCCF (www.nccf.in) is a dynamic society uniting experts, professionals, and natural resource stakeholders. Our focus lies in crafting India-specific, globally recognized sustainability standards. We advocate policy changes, offer training, and bolster capacity through inclusive multi-stakeholder engagement. As members of PEFC Alliance, IUCN, and Global Evergreening Alliance, we hold Observer Status with UNCCD and UNFCCC.

✅ Our Achievements:

We pioneered India's first Forest Management Certification Standard, endorsed by PEFC, ensuring global acclaim. Our Trees outside Forests Certification Scheme gained PEFC endorsement in August 2023. We've launched the Safeboards Standard for formaldehyde emission reduction. Stay tuned for our upcoming Certification standards for Ecotourism and advancements in Non-Wood Forest Resources, Quality Planting Materials, and Protected Areas.

NCCF's Sustainability Standards align seamlessly with SDGs, sustainable forest management, climate action, biodiversity conservation, and land restoration. We meet certified material needs for wood-based industries and support India's National Strategy for Standardization.

🔍 Accreditations and Partnerships:

We're accredited by the National Accreditation Forest certification is a market-based non-regulatory conservation tool designed to recognize and promote sustainable forest management. Through certification, harvest planning and practices of timber and other forest produce are evaluated by an independent third party in accordance with the standards that address sustainable forest management, environmental protection, and the dependent communities' social and economic welfare.
